Digital Chalking for ARU Mobile

Digital Chalking is a parking enforcement solution using vehicle mounted cameras to provide footage of license plates of vehicles parked on the side of the street, processing the footage by ALPR software on the go. The solution is ideal to cover large territories by an enforcement vehicle in shorter spans of time compared to manual enforcement. The enforcement officer can set up the parking zone on a map in the software GUI that is to be monitored and set the allowed waiting time for the zone. The software checks whether a parking vehicle within the boundaries of the designated zone exceeds the parking time limit and is also capable of matching the offending vehicles GPS data with the license plate reading event. Digital Chalking is a software only solution, the enforcement vehicle, GPS tracker and on-board processing unit for running ALPR are not part of the service package.

Tag vehicles without physical contact: The advantage of having Automatic License Plate Recognition as the basis of chalking (vehicle tagging), officers only need to drive around the parking zones, the software handles the rest

Parking Zone Management: Draw parking zones on the map integrated in the software and assign the maximum allowed waiting times

Mapping of events: All events are mapped, parking data, pictures of the violator vehicle and GPS location are saved for future reference

Availability

Available as an extension of ARU MOVE. The solution is software-based, additional hardware suitable for mobile enforcement is required.
