MMR is learning by the go and currently recognizes over 1000 different known models and counting.
Make: the manufacturer or brand of the car (e.g. Ford, Nissan, Lexus, Daewoo, Chevrolet)
Model: the type of the car within the brand (e.g. Mondeo, Navarra, IS220, Lanos, Camaro)
The category of the recorded vehicle, whether it is a motor cycle, car, bus or truck.
The basic color which is closest to the actual color of the vehicle (white, black, green, red, green, blue, yellow, orange, purple).

100% fingerprinting by knowing the exact make, model and color of a vehicle and enable ITS to obtain all collectable visual data from vehicles.
ITS (Intelligent Traffic System) solutions analyze enormous amount of data to use them for predictions and statistical analysis. Appropriate usage of big data requires the widest possible dataset to filter or highlight correlations. While many analytical tools can provide the expected data set, visual data collection of traffic is usually narrowed down to LPR and vehicle counting. This won’t get you any closer to accident prediction nor prevention, not even together with other data.
The recognition of make, model and the color of the vehicles – with 98%+ accuracy – can extend these datasets. Returning significant pieces of the puzzle that were missing, can help for example predicting and preventing accidents leading to safer and smarter cities.
Categorization, fraud detection, and more accuracy on LPR.
In case of tolling projects manual checking, fraud attempts and erroneous fines add up some of the most serious operation costs to be considered. Vehicle fingerprinting, as a known solution serves to enhance accuracy and thereby lower these costs. The possibilities offered by MMR compared to classical vehicle fingerprinting* in road toll operation are similar, but about 100 times more effective. MMR creates an instant fingerprint with maximal accuracy, identifying all known visual data about the vehicles allowing for example:
- to register only one car (or more, in jurisdictions that allow this) for one license plate
- Fraud prevention
- With a close to 100% vehicle identification, enhance LPR accuracy with significant percentages (to lower manual check costs)

Commercial application of MMR in a parking lot of a shopping mall, hotel, or restaurant can add a significant amount of extra data to match and analyze habits or find customer patterns. Knowing the brand of the vehicles for example can add value and accuracy to analyze the target audience. A hotel for example can draw valuable conclusions by analysing the data of vehicles of usual guests to help in determining whether it is overpriced or underpriced. Combining MMR with LPR results full, automatic profiling based on the complete information set obtained on the visiting cars.
