The advent of video analytics can be traced back to initial efforts to automate perimeter security and access control. Thus, the primary challenge in this industry isn’t transitioning from human surveillance to camera monitoring, as most industrial sites or large private properties already have some form of monitoring system in place.
The world's approach to security monitoring was fundamentally altered with the rise of AI, reshaping our understanding of video analytics capabilities. This technological evolution introduces new factors to consider:
Level of Automation: The mere presence of cameras around a perimeter doesn’t guarantee automation. It might still require human intervention to interpret recordings, organize data, or flag events.
Hardware Requirements: The addition of radars and scanners to camera systems doesn’t necessarily enhance a security system’s intelligence. In fact, device variety often has the opposite effect and constitutes a hinderance.
Speed: The need for human intervention and device cross-calibration, as mentioned above, often impedes the visual data processing workflow, leading to delays in notifications and response triggering.
Embracing the AI mindset from the outset, Asura has taken all these factors into account and more. We offer:
Complete and Semi-Automation Options: These are determined in consultation with the client. We can also upgrade a semi-automatic system to full automation and incorporate existing devices where suitable.
Camera-Only Systems: Our AI triggering and analytics capabilities eliminate the need for numerous devices in the detection process, significantly reducing associated maintenance costs.
Real-Time Triggers: Our combination of automation and a lean architecture naturally streamlines the process. We enhance this with the speed and adaptability of AI data processing to enable immediate responses to detected events.
Following an in-depth consultation, our bespoke access management solution provides property owners with the peace of mind that comes from knowing what’s happening on their premises, enabling them to act only when necessary.
Asura Access Management Automation Modules include:
Site Configuration: Optimal customization for any environment
Searchable Stored Records: Allows for queries based on general parameters or direct stream access
Access Levels: Customizable black and white list assembly
Complex Alerting: Pre-determined actions triggered by recognized events and flags

In 2023, Asura was commissioned by Unio Telecom to enhance their existing security infrastructure. Thanks to our effective collaboration, we were able to deliver an access management solution that has been in operation ever since, providing significant daily value to our client.
During our initial consultancy sessions, it became apparent that Unio Telecom’s legacy camera system, while adequate for its time, was significantly outperformed by our next-generation AI-powered video analytics. One of our primary objectives was to integrate the existing cameras into our solution, thereby extending their useful life and providing additional value to the client. Another issue for Unio Telecom was the inability to cross-reference accumulated security data for audit and analytics purposes due to the segmented nature of the different legacy system components.
Following the consultancy, we set to work creating floor plans, designing the system, suggesting customizations, and constructing the approved solution. Today, Unio Telecom’s compound is protected by a sophisticated, state-of-the-art security system powered by AI video analytics based on object detection. Our bespoke solution includes vehicle and face recognition, thermal imaging protection, and barrier control.
In line with our client’s initial requests, we incorporated all usable camera devices from the legacy system into the new solution. Thanks to our streamlined process and data permeability, Unio Telecom can now easily cross-query recordings across multiple interfaces, facilitating data analytics and compliance control.
