it’s that time of the year again when parking professionals from around the US meet for the NPA Conference and Expo in Orlando. Just as last year in Vegas Asura will be exhibiting, so be sure to check in at our booth #1012 between October 21-24. This time around we will be showcasing a number of exciting features including digital chalking, LPR-based access control, real-time parking space occupancy detection based on video stream, parking statistics for ARU and a lot more.
We have a limited number of exhibition passes to give away, so be sure to contact us for a complimentary entry ticket should you plan to visit.
ARU 3.3 release
Our development team is working hard to provide our partners and customers with great features for ARU and an ever-improving quality of our service. The ARU 3.3 comes with exciting new functions: parking statistics, validation profiles and some additional features improving the overall performance of the service.
Parking statistics
In case you are using ARU for access control (available for fixed LPR installations), the parking statistics function helps you in monitoring the capacity utilization of the parking lot. The metrics currently available show the average utilization of the parking lot, the actual number of vehicles staying in the lot over a time-interval specified by the user and an average time interval cars stay in the parking lot during a custom time period set by the user.
The parking statistics feature will also be showcased at the NPA using a live operation for the Demo.
Validation profiles for ARU
Another major feature is the introduction of validation profiles allowing you to choose the result validation process that fits your operation best. With this new function you no longer need to manually update each setting of ARU for the best performance, just choose a profile and let ARU handle the rest. This time we included two profiles for the users’ convenience: “free flow” where we aim for the highest possible result accuracy and “fast” where the speed of returning a result is the decisive factor.
