Video Analytics-based Access Control

Asura Technologies provides access control for factories, office buildings or other mission critical facilities using its proprietary face detection and face recognition technology allowing companies to go completely contactless by automation of entry protocols and/or register the actual hours employees clocked-in between check-in and check-out.

Face detection-based access control is a good fit for scenarios where the number of people within a given facility is limited and the number of individuals needs to be monitored within its premises. The system can be designed to deny access when the number of people within the facility reaches the predefined limit and automatically resume granting access once there is room for more people. The solution is ideal for retail stores and can be used jointly with other video analytics software like mask detection.

Face recognition-based access control is a solution for secure facilities where access to certain areas is strictly monitored. Access control is touchless and does not require any access cards or tokens. The system can be optionally used for employee work time-recording to automatically provide worktime information to the payroll.

A leading retail store-chain requested a solution where entry and exit within the headquarters is handled contactless, using face recognition. Clocking in and out are automatically registered in the worktime records for all office-based employees and the information is automatically supplied to the payroll system through API. As a result of the automation, monthly payroll preparation is less time consuming and stressful. The previous access card-based system has been completely replaced, eliminating the extra procurement and administration costs of lost cards.
